Taipei, Taiwan, July 13th 2004 – From the venerable SoftMenu™
technology which started the jumperless revolution, to µGuru™
interactive system management and, most recently, Guru Clock external
hardware monitoring, ABIT Engineering has changed what people have come
to expect from a motherboard. Now, ABIT is proud to announce two new innovations,
both designed to enhance the computing experience – OC strips
and OTES AeroFlow™.
Extreme Mobo Cooling – OC Strips
When
it comes to overclocking, heat is your worst enemy. Running components
beyond specifications generates heat that can cause the system to
crash or lock up. To that end, ABIT has developed OC Strips that
are placed directly on the motherboard PCB. These OC strips help
to efficiently dissipate heat, which means increased stability in
extreme overclocking conditions. ABIT has also integrated a large
amount of copper between each PCB layer. Copper, a material with
three times the heat transfer of aluminum, gives ABIT boards added
stability under stressing conditions. |
Maximum Northbridge Cooling – OTES AeroFlow
Traditional
northbridge cooling generally comes as a passive heatsink or an
active fan that blows air straight down onto the northbridge chip.
ABIT's new OTES AeroFlow will change what people think about stock
northbridge cooling. Developed to compliment the new heatsink and
fan design for LGA775 CPUs, OTES AeroFlow features a vertically
mounted fan. This fan enables the OTES Aeroflow to not only chill
the northbridge, but also simultaneously cool a number of onboard
devices, including the VGA card, southbridge, and also the memory.
The result being cooler components and a cooler system for better
overclocking and bulletproof stability.

ABIT's Advanced Durability brings greater responsibility
to the motherboard manufacturers in creating durable products with
quality, reliability and stability engineered for long-term, problem-free
use. All of ABIT motherboards are Advanced Durability tested and approved.
ABIT looks to all motherboard makers to make a similar durability
commitment to the end-user. |
